Secure Your Spot: The Genius Lab Registration Closes August 13!

If you’ve ever used GPS, you’ve used Dr. Gladys West’s math.
Real talk: Opportunity doesn't wait. It calculates. In the heart of St. Petersburg, a new blueprint for the future is being drawn, and the seats are filling up fast. If you are a parent, an educator, or a student in grades 6-12, this is the assignment you cannot afford to miss.
Today’s Industry: Applied STEM & Workforce Innovation GPS enables everything from global logistics to the phone in your pocket. Accuracy here isn’t optional: it’s critical.
This industry runs on equations, models, and coordinates. Math is the engine behind every decision.
Girls don’t need permission to belong in math. They already do.
The Move: Why The Genius Lab is Different
Here’s the blueprint. We aren't just talking about "afterschool care." We are talking about high-impact, workforce-ready exposure. The Genius Lab, hosted at the Enoch Davis Center, is a direct response to the lack of representation in fields that actually run the world.
Supported by the St. Petersburg Mayor’s Office, this initiative is designed specifically for students in the 33705, 33711, and 33712 zip codes. We are looking for the next generation of innovators from John Hopkins Middle, Thurgood Marshall Middle, Bay Point Middle, and Gibbs High School.

This is the Assignment: What Students Learn
We don't do "fluff." We do execution. The Genius Lab offers a curriculum that bridges the gap between a classroom and a career.
1. Robotics & Artificial Intelligence (AI)
The world is being automated. If you aren't the one programming the robot, you’re the one being replaced by it. We teach students how to build, code, and command. This isn't a game; it's the future of labor and logic.
2. Cybersecurity
Data is the new oil, and it's under constant attack. Our students learn the defensive strategies needed to protect digital infrastructure. This is high-stakes math and logic at its finest.
3. Architecture & Design
Building the future requires a blueprint. Through programs like SHE Draws, we introduce students to spatial design, 3D modeling, and the fundamentals of the built environment. We’re not just drawing houses; we’re designing the communities we want to live in.
4. Engineering & Construction
We scale smarter. Students get hands-on experience with engineering principles: learning how things hold together and why they fall apart. From reading blueprints to understanding structural integrity, this is where theory meets the pavement.
5. Music & Technology
Art and science are two sides of the same coin. We show students the math behind the music: the technology that powers the industry and the engineering that goes into every beat and broadcast.

Let’s Build Differently: The Perks
We know the hurdles. We know the "why" behind the struggle. That’s why we’ve removed every barrier to entry.
Free Transportation: We’ll get you there.
Meals and Snacks: You can’t build the future on an empty stomach.
Mentorship: Students work directly with industry professionals. These aren't just teachers; they are architects, engineers, and tech leaders who look like them.
Energy, strategy, execution. This is how we build a pipeline to high-paying, high-impact careers for underserved communities.
Why Zip Codes 33705, 33711, and 33712 Matter
Forward is the only direction. For too long, students in South St. Pete have been told what they can't do by the lack of resources in their immediate vicinity. The Genius Lab changes that narrative. By focusing our efforts on John Hopkins, Thurgood Marshall, Bay Point, and Gibbs High, we are planting the seeds of innovation exactly where they need to grow.
This isn't just about STEM; it's about economic empowerment. It’s about ensuring that the residents of these zip codes are the ones designing the future of their own city.

Real Talk: The Deadline is Non-Negotiable
Architect your next move right now. Registration for The Genius Lab closes on August 13.
Seats are limited. This isn't a marketing tactic: it's a reality. To ensure high-quality, direct mentorship and hands-on experience, we can only take a certain number of students. If you wait, you lose.

A Note to Parents and Educators
Run the play. As a "concerned friend," I’m telling you: the gap is widening. The difference between those who lead and those who follow is access to this specific type of knowledge. Don't let your student miss out because of a missed deadline.
Whether they dream of building the next skyscraper, securing the nation’s data, or producing the next platinum hit, it all starts with the foundations they build after school.
Let’s build the future together. Say less. Let’s cook.
